Goëland boom
Application field
The GOËLAND curtain booms are usable in a harbour
zones, in estuaries or in open coastal zones. They are intended
to counteract the spread of hydrocarbon pollutan.
They are composed of a succession of supple foam cylinders
in waterproof casings and of a ballast chain exposed over
its entire length. Thanks to the subdivision into identical
elements, the booms are highly flexible. They are able to
respond quickly to water surface movements and to maintain
their upright position in strong currents and high winds.
Technical field
Characteristics of the GOËLAND curtain booms:
- resistance to ripping and torsion,
- resistance to temperatures from -30°C to 90°C,
with a maximum of 120°C for a short period of use,
- resistance to wear and abrasion,
- resistance to hydrocarbons, oily materials (lubricants,
mineral oils) and almost all industrial chemicals,
- weldable with all the common techniques.
