Canaries boom
Application field
The CANARIES booms are intended to counteract the
spread of floating hydrocarbon pollutants, they are usable
in harbour zones, in estuaries or in coastal zones close to
the shore. They are particularly well-suited for
use on rocky shores.
Thanks to the subdivision of the 25 meter long elements,
the boom is characterized by its great flexibility, which
allows it to conform to the water's surface movements and
to maintain its upright position when subjected to a perpendicular
current.
Technical field
Characteristics of the CANARIES booms:
- resistance to ripping and torsion,
- resistance to temperatures from -30°C to 90°C,
with a maximum of 120°C for a short period of use,
- resistance to wear and abrasion,
- resistance to hydrocarbons, oily materials (lubricants,
mineral oils) and almost all industrial chemicals,
- weldable with all the common techniques.
